She/he is the specialist in computer languages, such as C ++ or Java. She/he is responsible for programming, that is, for producing lines of code.

For this, she/he writes and follows a bill of specifications which points out the technical characterizations to be respected in order to create this tailor-made computer program.

Thus, she/he participates upstream in the analysis of user needs, during the test phase. Downstream, she/he adapts the software to the client’s request by making the necessary adjustments. She/he supports the training of users of the application and, as such, may even be required to write a user guide.

She/he is also involved in the maintenance or changes to existing programs. Thanks to the software packages, this standard programming software ready to use, she/he spends less and less time writing the programs, so that his activity evolves more towards analysis than programming.
